Our story began by accident, involving our CEO, Garry Kyle. His family's favorite getaway involved flying from Dallas to Fort Lauderdale and enjoying time on their yacht. However, while trying to find reliable crew for their trips, Garry found the crew hiring process time consuming and challenging.

Drawing on his experience launching Symplr, a company that provides healthcare compliance software to nine out of ten hospitals in the United States, Garry decided to apply his software knowledge to the yachting industry.

In 2020, Garry acquired Crew4Yachts, the original yacht crew database, founded by Stacy Geddis 14 years prior. Garry and his dedicated employees successfully transformed it into what we know as Meridian today. Our mission is straightforward yet impactful: to improve and consolidate the yacht crew hiring process while making it free, fast, and safe for everyone.

In 2023, Meridian decided to join forces with ACREW, a trusted name in the yachting community with 15 years of experience working with over 15,000 yacht crew professionals and businesses. This partnership empowers us to deliver cutting-edge solutions that seamlessly connect employers with professional yacht crew.
