Description
I am looking for a Junior Deckhand. This is a Full-Time position. The start date is 25 Aug 2025. The position is in Fort Lauderdale, FL, USA. Candidate must have one of the given visa(s): US Passport/GreenCard. For this opportunity, the salary is 3,600 - 3,700. This is a Saint Vincent and the Grenadines flagged private vessel that is 111' to 144' (34 to 44 meters) in length.
Here are the qualifications needed for this job opening: STCW, ENG-1.
This is the likely itinerary for this vessel: Florida, Bahamas, Caribbean. Must be American or Greencard holder as all employees are ran through a US company. Male candidates only due to cabin arrangements. Candidates must pass background checks and drug testing - we are a zero tolerance boat when it comes to drugs. Must have a can-do attitude, an eagerness to learn and progress. Basic tender handling, line handling and deck knowledge a big plus, but we can teach all skills to those willing to learn. The vessel is currently a private program with the family using the boat about 8-10 weeks per year. The vessel is listed for sale, and we will be maintaining the boat in show ready condition for potential buyers. The boat is based at a private slip in the Ft. Lauderdale area and the program offers a great opportunity to have a home life and not be stuck on a boat 24/7. The family is wonderful and very caring. Most crew have been onboard for between one and 4.5 years. Very down to earth, no drama boat. We run with a crew of 5 -6, and you will be sharing your cabin with the mate. This position offers full benefits like health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and more.
