Deck/Engineer Jobs on in Nassau, The Bahamas

We are currently looking for a deck/2nd engineer. When on charter then position is deck. When owner or charter guests are not on board, the position is engineering (working alongside the chief engineer). The boat is a 164’ Westport. Very well maintained. Owners are US and nice; they only use the boat for 2-3 weeks of the year. There is a good budget for maintenance. Crew is UK, US, Belgium, SA, Canada, Jamaica and Philippines. We are based in the Bahamas and Caribbean and run a busy charter schedule. We have 5 charters booked from now until August. Will be in the shipyard in Fort Lauderdale for Sept - Oct of this year. The previous deck/eng has been on board for 3 years and is stepping up to the position of rotational chief engineer. Start date for the new candidate would be asap; had originally planned for early May but the current deck/eng needs to return home for family reasons. Ideally I’m looking for someone with strong AV & IT skills. The candidate does not necessarily need an engineering background but must have an aptitude or ability for basic engineering and, as already mentioned, a good understanding of AV & IT. Female and male candidates welcome. Salary would be up to $7,500 per month, depending on experience and skill-set. Shared cabin. 38 days of paid vacation per year.
