I am looking for a Engineer. This is a Full-Time position. This job starts ASAP. The position is in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, USVI. Candidate must have one of the given visa(s): No VISA. *Technician: Charter Yachting Industry* Working alongside the Fleet Technical Manager. Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of a fleet of sailing yachts, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance. Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, performing preventive maintenance, and working closely with captains, crew, and fleet manager. Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine inspections, servicing, preventive maintenance and repair work on yacht engines, generators, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues affecting vessel performance. Perform hull maintenance, including antifouling, fiberglass repairs, and corrosion prevention. Troubleshoot and maintain propulsion systems, steering systems, and onboard auxiliary equipment. Ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations, classification requirements, and environmental standards. Keep detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and service history for each vessel. Assist in managing parts inventory, ordering supplies, and coordinating with marine suppliers. Qualifications & Skills: Marine engineering or technical certification preferred. Proven experience as a marine technician, yacht engineer, or similar role. Strong knowledge of marine propulsion systems, diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Familiarity with onboard systems such as refrigeration, watermakers, and sewage treatment. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and specialized marine equipment. Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Understanding of maritime safety and environmental conventions and regulations (e.g., SOLAS, ISM, MARPOL). Valid STCW certificate (preferred). Work may take place in marinas, shipyards, or onboard yachts at sea.
