Description
HMG is looking for AMSA Class 3 Chief Engineer for a 40m, 314GT Australian flagged Yacht for a rotational position. You MUST have work rights for Australia and AMSA Class 3 at minimum. Rotational role with all flights, medical covered and tips from Charters. With charters on the East Coast of Australia, the Yacht is busy so will suit a hard working and motivated Engineer looking to build sea time towards their MEC tickets. The position is rotational and offers a time for time rotation schedule, the aim is for 2:2 swings. A good all round knowledge of modern Yacht systems is required, you will have shore support and the Captain also has great Engineering skills and knows the Yacht very well. Yacht is 16 years old but has been well maintained. Helping out other departments to ensure smooth running on Charters is required. The Yacht has a very interesting itinerary for the next year, the yacht is looking to secure a long-term Chief Engineer to rotate with the current Chief. Operating throughout northern Australia, the Yacht will be offering Charters to remote northern Australia, Lizard Island, Kimberly's and further into the South Pacific. Currently in Queensland, the yacht will offer local cruises before progressing further north. Shared cabin, the salary on offer is decent for a 40m in Australia and open to negotiations for the right candidate. With an energetic and adventurous crew on board, they are searching for someone that enjoys the outdoors and is also looking for a long-term position.
