Full-Time Deckhand Job in Fort Lauderdale, FL, USA

ATTENTION: This is STRICKLY a LAND-BASED position. Deckhand of Multi-Vessel Program (43ft to 115ft) all located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. and US-flagged. Must have a proactive personality, be a self-starter known for having initiative, and be willing to learn. The vessel is in shipyard mode in Fort Lauderdale. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM TO 5 PM. This is a NON-Live aboard/land-based position. Must have your own vehicle. Only US Passport or GreenCard to apply. This position could be made permanent for the right candidate. Responsibilities: o Have experience or knowledge with mechanical, maintenance, and repair of boats and equipment. o Assist with the rigging and maintenance of the vessel o Handle lines and assist with docking and undocking procedures o Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks on the deck o Wash downs o Waxing o Polishing o Detailing • Assist Engineer with projects • Assist with Special projects o Sanding o Painting o Varnish experience o Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo or supplies o Monitor equipment and report any issues or malfunctions to the captain or engineer • Assist with projects of FL properties Requirements: • 3-5 years experience • Live within 30 minutes of Fort Lauderdale • Transportation provided • US citizen or Green Card Holder • No-live aboards • Active • Hardworking • Team Player • Reliable
