Description
MUST BE AMERICAN OR GREEN CARD HOLDER
Expected Use of the Boat: Since we live in Tennessee, use of our boat will be somewhat limited during
the September to May time period. We expect to be on the boat during most school holidays and when
the kids are out for the summer. There may be times when we will use the boat on weekends for
abbreviated trips. We have two upcoming trips planned, each a week to 10 days, – one in January and
the second in February. Periodically, I may fly down to visit the boat. When we do travel, we prefer to be
at anchor in a protected lagoon or harbor vs. staying in a marina.
Destinations: Generally, the Bahamas will be the destination of choice – Exumas, Abacos, Eleuthera.
When my confidence level in our captain and the boat grows, we would love to explore most of the
Caribbean, the east coast of the US and the Canadian Maritimes. There is a strong possibility we may
ship the boat to the Mediterranean during the summer of 2025.
Captain/Engineer: This position is for a hands-on, proactive Captain/Engineer who will take a leadership
role in the care, maintenance, safety, security, planning and execution of the yacht management as if it
were his/her own vessel. The Captain/Engineer will be the only full-time crew, and my family and I will
assist with lines, docking etc. Often times, I will take the helm and assist with any trips. The
Captain/Engineer is expected to clean and maintain personally (monthly bottom cleaning to be done by
outside service) and to perform as much repair work as possible before hiring a third party service. The
Captain/Engineer will also be required to handle all administrative and provisioning work for the vessel.
