Position: Captain Vessel: 101' Hargrave M/Y (Jamaican Flag) Location: Based in Fort Lauderdale (behind the owners house) with 6 months per year cruising the Bahamas and Caribbean Start Date: ASAP Salary: $9,000 to $11,000/month (DOE) A 101' Hargrave motor yacht is seeking a professional, hands-on Captain. This is a private/charter program, requiring a flexible and experienced captain who can seamlessly adapt between owner trips and charter guests. The yacht operates year-round, with a home base in Fort Lauderdale and winter/spring seasons in the Bahamas and Caribbean. Open to considering a Captain + Mate/Stew couple. Responsibilities: Full command of the vessel, ensuring safe navigation and operations Oversee all aspects of yacht maintenance, contractors, and yard periods Handle budgeting, provisioning, and compliance with Jamaican flag requirements Deliver high standards of service during private and charter trips Requirements: Proven experience as Captain on yachts of similar size Strong background managing both private and charter operations 200-ton license (minimum) Solid engineering/mechanical skills Valid STCW, ENG1, and up-to-date certifications Strong leadership, communication, and guest service skills Benefits: Salary ($9,000 to $11,000/month, DOE) Standard MLC contract
